Increase scale.
Decrease overhead.
Drive performance.
Guastella Advisors partners with privately held business owners to reengineer the financial infrastructure of the company, delivering real transparency, faster data, and a business that is ready for whatever comes next, including the day you hand it over.
Specialty focus: Trucking, Logistics & Distribution
Not a bookkeeper. Not a traditional CPA shop. A consulting partner.
Most owners we meet built something real, and the financial side never caught up. The close is slow, the data is stale, and the numbers cannot answer the questions that matter. GA rebuilds that layer of the business from the inside out.
You run the business. We carry the numbers. You get back time, clarity, and a company that performs better for you now and looks stronger to whoever runs it next.
If any of this hits close to home, you are not alone.
These aren't signs something's wrong with your business. They're signs you've outgrown the financial setup that got you here.
Let us fix it- The monthly close drags on far too long.
By the time you see the numbers, the decisions they should inform are already behind you.
- Every month brings a surprise expense.
An unflagged vendor bill, a late adjustment, every close lands a hit you didn't see coming.
- Cash flow feels like guesswork.
You check the bank balance more than the P&L. Payroll week is stressful.
- Lender conversations feel like a translation problem.
Bankers and investors see numbers without the story behind them.
- Big decisions get made on instinct.
Hiring, pricing, equipment, expansion, no clear financial picture behind them.
- The books tell you what happened, not what to do.
You have reports. You don't have answers.
This is the work. GA installs the visibility, structure, and rhythm that turn those problems into a system you can run the business on.
GA rebuilds the financial engine of the business.
Better transparency, faster data, tighter process, and a company that can carry more revenue without more overhead.
The result is a business that performs better for you today and stands up to scrutiny when a lender, successor, or buyer looks under the hood.
Eight ways we strengthen the business.
Quality of Earnings & Sell-Side Readiness
Everything a seller needs before a buyer starts asking. Normalized earnings, clean records, and a story that survives diligence.
Books Cleanup & Organization
Behind on the books? We reconcile the history, rebuild the chart of accounts, and get the close on a schedule you can run on.
Scalability & Performance
Turn financial clarity into capacity. Pricing, margin, and process work that lets the business carry more volume without more overhead.
Cash Flow Forecasting
A rolling weekly forecast so you always see what is coming, and decide before it arrives.
Faster Data & Transparency
Monthly reporting and variance analysis that arrives early enough to change the outcome, not just record it.
Lender & Buyer Liaison
GA sits in the room, translating your operation into financial standing a bank or an acquirer can underwrite.
Debt & Capital Structure
The right mix of debt and terms, lowering cost of capital and turning liabilities into leverage.
Succession & Transition Planning
Whether the business passes to family, a manager, or an outside buyer, the numbers need to be ready years before the handoff.

Your financial house should have been in order all along.
Most owners know it. Very few have had a partner who could fix it. GA rebuilds the financial infrastructure so the business is transparent, scalable, and ready for the next owner, whoever that turns out to be.
How we work →Consulting built around the owner's next move.
Consulting, not just accounting
GA partners with owners to reengineer how the business runs financially. The output is better decisions and a more valuable company, not another set of statements.
Built for the transition ahead
Most owners we work with are thinking about what comes next, internally or through a sale. We get the financial house in order long before anyone asks to see it.
You operate, we own the numbers
Owners should be focused on customers, people, and product. We carry the financial weight and hand back clarity, so the decisions in front of you get sharper.
Scalability is the real asset
The next owner pays for a business that can grow without its founder. We build the infrastructure that makes that true.

Common questions from owners.
- What exactly does Guastella Advisors do?
- Business consulting for privately held and owner-led companies. We reengineer the financial infrastructure of the business: the close, the reporting, the forecasting, the pricing and margin work, and the process behind it. The goal is transparency, faster data, better performance, and readiness for whatever transition is ahead.
- Are you a CPA firm or a consulting firm?
- Both, in a sense. Guastella Advisors, PLLC is a licensed certified public accounting firm registered with the State of Michigan, and Jonathon A. Guastella is a CPA licensed in Michigan. The practice itself is consulting and advisory work. The firm does not perform audits, reviews, or compilations.
- Who do you typically work with?
- Privately held, owner led businesses, often owners who are beginning to think about transitioning the company to family, a management team, or an outside buyer. Trades and field services, trucking and logistics, distribution, professional services, and healthcare practices are common.
- Can you help me get ready to sell?
- Yes. That is a core part of the practice. Quality of earnings analysis, normalized earnings, clean and defensible records, working capital analysis, and the documentation a buyer's diligence team will ask for. We also support the process while it is live.
- How is this different from hiring a bookkeeper or controller?
- Bookkeepers record what already happened. Controllers close the month. GA sits a level higher, redesigning how financial information is produced and using it to drive the operating and strategic decisions in front of the owner.
- Do you offer tax preparation?
- Tax preparation is not a current core service. GA coordinates with your existing tax advisors and structures the financial picture so tax planning conversations are sharper.
Let's talk about where your business is headed.
A focused conversation with Jonathon. No pitch, no obligation. Just a sharper view of the financial decisions in front of you.
